Owl's Head - Tuesday

This was the day.  The Owl's Head Transportation Museum.  Supposed to be all sorts of cars and planes and things.  We go zooming out there, and they don't open until 10.  Ooops.

So, how about a cup of coffee and the Owls Head Lighthouse?

Then we headed off to the Transportation Museum, but somehow I didn't end up with any pictures.  Jerry did.

At the Farmingham Museum we got tickets to the Olson House.  The Olson house was where Andrew Wyeth painted 388 of his photos.

There's an awful story about Christina Olson, who lived in the Olson House.  She had some undiagnosed neuro-muscular disease which some people thought was MS.  By the time she was 30 she could no longer walk and crawled everywhere, including out to the outhouse.  Her world was basically the kitchen, where she lived with her brother.

I liked this shell arrangement above the windows...

This is a little more upbeat.

And this was the evening we walked out the breakwater toward the Rockland Lighthouse. You can just barely see it over Jerry's right shoulder, and we're halfway out!

We tried for Mexican the second night in a row.  The first night the GPS was wacko, the second night we found it, but it wasn't open.  So we went to a cafe, and they had a southwestern theme!  Vegetarian nachos without the cheese!  Yum!
