This was a sail with no wind.
1:00 p.m. Leaving the bay, no wind, water flat. Ducks.
Flat, glossy water might be pretty to look at, but don't expect to sail.
The sky was pretty. You can see Jerry's wooden video camera holder, and the anchor for the sunshade on the back stay.
2:30 p.m. Isn't this a neat picture? Not sure of the point. Looking back at where we left? This is as far out as we got on this sail.
4:00 p.m. The sun shining on the container ship was pretty.
We came back in the Long Beach breakwater down by the Spruce Goose.
The wind finally starts to blow.
Coming back, there were zillions of floats in the water.
Presumably marking crab pots.
Makes an interesting obstacle course.
5:00 p.m. Back to dock!
