Old Orange Walking Food Tour

For Christmas Michele got us a walking food tour in old Orange.  We scheduled it for Jerry's birthday weekend.  The little town of Orange turns out to be very historic.

The lady in the tour jacket was Linda, our tour guide.  She was very entertaining.

We started the tour in a architecturally interesting Wells Fargo bank.

Most of the tour happened right on this corner.
A beautiful sunny day.
In January.

First stop:  Felix Cuban Cuisine

Empanada's were wonderful.  I'd like to go back and try this again!

The next stop was a flower shop.  We each got a gorgeous rose to tote around...

Paris in a Cup had delightful potato soup, and yummy tea.

Across the street Francoli Italian was proudest of its wines.  We had a tomato/mozzarella appetizer, and a small pesto pasta.  Yum!

The artwork and chandelier were pretty impressive.

Some enjoyed more wine than others...

Next stop!  Rice pudding at Watson Drug store.

This fountain is in the middle of the square, and Linda had an original ditty sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island for us.

The teensy Gallery on Glassel had great coffee and chocolates for us.  I even bought a chocolate bar here.

Too full to enjoy!

The nutrition shop was a hit.  No gluten cupcakes with a lemon glaze.  I bought cake mix and icing mix here.

Awesome pizza back in an alley.  I'd do that again...

A cute old-fashioned candy shop.

This gal's family was part of the Orange restoration.   Her family has a plaque in the brick.

Looks like ice cream, but really it is gelato.

Another shot of Watson's as we walked back.

That's it!  YUM!!!
